About me
Originally born in Chesapeake Virginia, Caitlin Nicole Doak grew up in in the sunshine state of Gainesville, FL. Coming from an All-American athlete of a Mom and a Gospel singer of a Dad, it wasn’t surprising that she grew up rushing from voice lessons to sweaty practices and back to performances. She juggled playing sports all her life while being heavily involved in the performing arts. Although sports were a huge part of her life and taught her leadership, teamwork, and discipline, she knew that she couldn't live without theatre.
Growing up in a college town, she traded being a Florida Gator to becoming a Knight at the University of Central Florida. While in Orlando she was able to experience playing various roles such as Janet Van De Graaff in The Drowsy Chaperone which got her an Irene Ryan nomination, Suzy in The Marvelous Wonderettes, Woman 2 in I Love You...Now Change, and Phantasia in Beetlejuice's Monster Mash-Up at Universal Studios.
After graduating with a BFA in Musical Theatre from UCF, she lived in Japan for 8 months as a vocalist for Tokyo Disney. The beautiful country and culture of Japan truly changed her life. Since then she has performed regionally in productions such as Mamma Mia, Seussical, The Marvelous Wonderettes, The Little Mermaid, and most recently Million Dollar Quartet for the second time. She is currently based in NYC and has lived there for almost 9 years.
Caitlin is the youngest of 6 kids (4 brothers and a sister) and is a proud Aunt to 4 nieces, 2 nephews, and now a grand nephew! She is happiest when she is spending time with family and friends, exercising, in nature, baking, reading historical fiction, eating Mexican food and Margaritas…extra Guac, sitting by a fire, and of course this Florida girl loves the beach!
